Rob Bernstein '04 recently completed two federal clerkships, one with Judge Danny J. Boggs on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and one on the district court in Chicago. He graduated from Princeton in 2008 with a degree in religion and subsequently spent a year living and working at a Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Rob attended law school at Columbia, where he argued in the moot court finals and wrote the highest-scoring brief in various competitions. One of the best parts about clerking for Rob was experiencing life in Louisville. While there, Rob kept a blog about his adventures traveling the Bluegrass State and studying bourbon: www.kentuckyismyland.com (the title comes from a poem of the same name by the Kentucky writer and educator Jesse Stuart). In August, Rob will head to D.C. to start as an associate at Bancroft PLLC, a boutique litigation firm focused on Supreme Court and appellate litigation.
