Dear Gregory School Families-
It is enrollment season! We are SO excited about the signs of increased interest in The Gregory School from throughout the city and from families relocating from out of state. To ensure our current families receive preference, be sure to complete the “Save My Seat” enrollment reservation form that you were sent, by email, earlier this month. If you don’t recall seeing that message in your inbox, by all means, call Elaine Kornfeld and let her know so that our team can connect you electronically as soon as possible.
Please help us foster this positive trend by encouraging friends with school-aged children to attend this Sunday’s Open House beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the theater. Are you an 8th grade family interested in learning more information about our Upper School Curriculum? You will be receiving a personal invitation to meet and interact with the upper school faculty your child will be working with next year. Mark your calendar for Sunday afternoon, February 19th at 1:00 p.m. More information will follow shortly.
Enclosed in today’s update, you will find timely information about our Poetry Out Loud competition and the announcement of who will represent The Gregory School in the regional and state competitions. If you’re interested in seeing a great basketball game this weekend, be sure to come out for the games against Desert Christian! Support the JV, women’s and men’s teams with your presence at these highly competitive away games tomorrow night (JV at 4:00, women at 5:30, and men at 7:00). Desert Christian High School is located at 7525 E. Speedway Blvd.
Finally, thank you to those who have contributed to our annual fund. We are more than halfway to our goal. We will be rolling out an exciting matching opportunity in February so if you’ve not yet given, hold on to that gift until you learn how your contribution can be doubled.
P.S. Get your running shoes on! I'll see you all at the Hawk Walk Sunday morning!
With much appreciation,
Julie A. Sherrill, Ph.D.
Head of School
The Gregory School is a place that is transforming learning and transforming students' lives. Gregory students lead institutions, they found movements, they invent technology, they run cities. Students leave TGS with a sense of agency; they believe they can change the world for the better and it is our aim to ensure we give them the knowledge, skills, experiences and confidence to do so.Dr. Julie Sherrill
