A Tradition of Excellence

12 09 2016 blog 18

We take pride in our school tagline,"A Tradition of Excellence."

In the spirit of always striving for excellence, we hope that your child's first two weeks of the 2017-18 school year has laid a firm foundation for a year of exceptional learning opportunities, enduring friendships, and memorable interactions with our highly talented faculty.   We appreciate the robust turnout at both of our curriculum nights and look forward to partnering with you this year to support your child's learning.

As you may know, this beautiful independent school just south of the Rillito River in Tucson, Arizona was founded in 1980.   During the past 12 months, we have had the distinct pleasure of introducing alumni from that first decade of the school's existence to our student body by showcasing the many accomplishments and contributions those graduates have given, and continue to give, the world.

So once again, in the spirit of "A Tradition of Excellence," we are proud to introduce yet another talented graduate. I encourage you to watch the TedTalk in this link. Chip Colwell graduated from St. Gregory College Preparatory School in 1988.   In his talk, he references growing up in Tucson and benefitting from the tutelage and creativity of one of his science teachers.   It's heartwarming to think about the legacy that's been established here and exciting to imagine what role YOUR child will play in our future, as well.

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend,

Julie A. Sherrill, Ph.D.
