New Spanish Immersion Program

New summer camp Spanish immersion program for students ages 5 to 10 only. Because of the class length, activities, and immersion intensity, previous Spanish language background is preferred. All classes are taught by Señora Boudreau. Students’ level of Spanish must be approved by Señora Boudreau. Registration for this Spanish immersion program is separate from the other Minds Alive! courses and is contingent upon instructor approval.

    Lisa Bodden

    Mrs. Lisa Bodden holds a BS in Theater Education and an MA in Theater Arts. She just completed her fourteenth year teaching drama and stagecraft classes and directing shows at The Gregory School. When not in the classroom, she is often found onstage or in front of the camera performing with community theater companies in Tucson and making films for the U of A.
  • Amie Bergersen

    Amie Bergersen

    Mrs. Amie Bergersen received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona and her M.Ed. from Northern Arizona University. Amie loves books and stories, and can often be found walking with her dog on the river walk. She currently teaches math at The Gregory School and loves creating new inventions with her class.

  • Josh Dickinson

    Josh Dickinson

    Mr. Josh Dickinson has been teaching physical education for the past 15 years. As an athlete Mr. Dickinson played basketball, tennis, and golf at the college level for Trinidad State and the University of Hawaii Hilo. Mr. Dickinson has also worked as an all-sports camp director for the past 19 years. He is currently a P.E. teacher and the associate athletic director at The Gregory School. This year, Mr. Dickinson has coached the middle school tennis and boys’ basketball teams, as well as the upper school girls’ basketball team.
  • Marsha Eisenberg

    Marsha Eisenberg

    Ms. Eisenberg holds a BS in Microbiology and Chemistry from the U of A. She earned her M. Ed. at NAU in December 2017. Marsha is an engineering teacher with BASIS Schools and is is the coach for the LEGO Robotics team.
  • Laurie McBride

    Laurie McBride

    Ms. Laurie McBride has a BFA in Music Education from the University of Arizona and has been teaching musical theater, band, and general music for over 20 years. Ms. McBride has been pursuing her love of art in teaching after school clubs, moderating an art website, and creating original works.
  • Taylor Merrick

    Taylor Merrick

    Ms. Taylor Merrick received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in Agricultural Technology and Management, with an emphasis in Leadership and Communications. She is currently completing her Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona in Agriculture Education, with a research emphasis. She loves to learn new things and believes that everyone she meets can teach her something new.
  • Chef Ian Churchill

    Chef Ian Churchill

    Chef Ian Churchill did his undergraduate studies at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and his culinary studies at the CIA in Hyde Park, NY. He is currently the Food Service Director at The Gregory School. It is his 14th year with SAGE Dining Services. When he is not in the kitchen he enjoys U of A athletic events, golfing, fishing, sailing, and relaxing in the beautiful Arizona sunshine.
  • Virginia Encila

    Virginia Encila

    Virginia Encila is a high honors graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA and a major in Art Education. She is a member of The Gregory faculty and has forty years teaching experience, including seven years with the Summer Fine Arts program, and twelve years at Esperero Canyon Middle School. Her work has garnered numerous awards, including Southern Arizona Middle Level Teacher of the Year, Virginia Art Teacher of the Year, and the Arizona Administrator’s Association / Arizona Alliance for the Arts Interdisciplinary Award. Her work has been featured on The Learning Channel and Arlington Virginia Television, Fine Arts Series.
