Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management

Position Overview

The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management as a key member of the administrative staff communicates the mission of The Gregory School by building relationships within the school community and across the broader Tucson community. The Director is focused on the recruitment and retention of mission-aligned students who will benefit from and contribute to a diverse school community. This is a full-time, 12-month administrative position.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate the school’s vision, core values, educational philosophy, curriculum offerings, and mission to inspire commitment and ensure a smooth transition for new students and their families, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement.
  • Promote independent school education holistically to service a local need for educational choice and opportunity based on a strong understanding of the school’s strengths and positioning.
  • Establish and maintain a working knowledge of curriculum, developmental stages, and culture within each division to ensure information is accurately shared with prospective families. 
  • Cultivate sustainable relationships by establishing a climate of approachability, honesty, integrity, and professionalism. 
  • Lead and oversee all Admissions events (tours, school fairs, parent gatherings, etc.) while collaborating with other learning community stakeholders. Support all aspects of the admission funnel experience, from inquiry to enrollment to re-enrollment.
  • Collect, analyze, and use enrollment data to inform decision-making and form the foundation of the school's enrollment management plan. 
  • Guide the administrative staff through creating and implementing the school's ongoing efforts to retain our current student population. 
  • Maintain professional affiliations and participate in professional growth experiences to ensure that the office of admission and enrollment management employs at all times a "best practices" approach that is data-driven and accountable.
  • Work in partnership with the Director of Communications to represent the school's mission in all marketing, advertising, and enrollment collateral materials.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Advancement and the Director of Communications to achieve shared goals.
  • Prepare and maintain the annual admissions calendar of events, deadlines, and provide an annual report to the Board of Trustees.
  • Manage the admissions budget.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of School. 

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred 
    • At least three years of experience in admissions-related role 
    • Proficiency with Blackbaud, SSS, Google Suites, Canva
    • Passionate about working with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds
