Thank you
for your interest in The Gregory School
Education is one of the greatest gifts a family can offer a child. Choosing the right school, however, can feel like a daunting task. It’s important to truly get to know the schools you’re considering to understand what each one can offer—not only for your child’s education but for your entire family’s experience.
At The Gregory School, we celebrate the unique strengths of every student, creating a learning environment where young people thrive academically, socially, and personally. Whether you're seeking a thoughtful transition into middle school or a rigorous, college-preparatory upper school experience, our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to delivering a holistic education that reaches far beyond the classroom.
We invite you to explore our website, attend one of our upcoming campus events, and reach out with any questions you may have. If you decide to apply, you’ll find that our admissions process is designed not just to enroll students, but to build meaningful partnerships that support their long-term success and well-being.
We look forward to getting to know your family and sharing how The Gregory School can be the right place for your child to grow and thrive.

Understanding the Admission Process
- Inquiry Form
It’s never too early to begin the admissions process by submitting an inquiry form. Submitting the inquiry form is the first step—it allows parents to create a Blackbaud account, where they can view and complete all steps of the admissions checklist. If you have additional questions, you can schedule a 30-minute meeting with the Director of Admissions via Zoom, phone, or in person at The Gregory School. - Campus Tour
The best way to determine whether The Gregory School might be the right fit for your family is to visit our beautiful campus in person. Please sign up for a personalized campus tour, and see our dynamic classrooms in action during regular school hours. Families are encouraged to take a tour before beginning the application.
- Online Application
Once prospective students have completed the inquiry form, the online application can be found in the admissions checklist in Blackbaud when it opens in September. The application fee is $95. A need-based fee waiver is available by contacting the admissions office.
- Entrance Exam
Students are required to take a mathematics and English entrance exam as a part of the admissions process.
- Additional Checklist Items
After the completed application, students will submit academic information including but not limited to school records and teacher recommendations.
- Student–Parent Interview
As an important step in our admission process, interviews are a mutual discovery opportunity, allowing TGS to learn about the student's unique qualities and how we can best support their educational journey, while providing students and families the chance to ask questions and gain deeper insights into The Gregory School.
- Shadow Opportunity
It is strongly encourged that applicants shadow a current student in the grade level that they will be entering. This is a great opportunity to experience what it is like to be a student at The Gregory School to help in the decision-making process. When families reach this point in the admission process, they will be contacted to schedule a date.
