Job Overview |
The Gregory School has a 5th - 12th grade curriculum that spirals through strands of Mandarin each year. Classes cover the four different language skills and introduce students to the diversity of speaking communities around the globe. The successful candidate will teach the grammar and vocabulary needed to translate and understand Mandarin. There will be an integrated assessment system to monitor student progress to ensure that learning is secure and will give them good preparation for the next grade. The focus is on active learning, through discussion, practice work, oral communication, or other hands-on activities. Curriculum and assessment models used at The Gregory School are based on current best practices. The successful candidate is eager to join a community where professionalism and collaboration are valued. Teachers joining The Gregory School faculty are open to growth and participation in rich curricular conversations.
